Day-by-Day Route

Ski tour itinerary

Day 01

Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil – Tachddirt Village

Depart Marrakech in the morning and travel towards Imlil, the gateway to the High Atlas Mountains. Continue towards Tachddirt, one of the region's traditional Berber villages, surrounded by dramatic mountain landscapes.

Upon arrival, settle into a local guesthouse and enjoy lunch. Depending on the snow conditions and arrival time, there may be an opportunity for a short walk or an introductory ski tour in the surrounding area.

In the afternoon, meet your local guide to check your ski-touring equipment and discuss the following day's route, weather forecast and mountain safety.

Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and spend the night in Tachddirt.

Day 02

Day 2: Tachddirt – bougnouan Peak Ski Touring – Marrakech

Wake up early and enjoy breakfast before setting off with your mountain guide for a ski-touring ascent towards bougnouan Peak.

Climb through the snowy mountain terrain using touring skis and climbing skins, taking breaks to enjoy panoramic views across the High Atlas. The guide will select the safest suitable route according to the snowpack, avalanche risk, visibility and the group's experience.

If conditions and the group's ability permit, continue towards the planned summit objective. After reaching the highest safe point, prepare for the ski descent through suitable terrain back towards Tachddirt.

After the descent, collect your belongings and begin the return journey to Marrakech, arriving in the late afternoon or evening depending on mountain conditions and travel time.

Meals: Breakfast and lunch

Important: Reaching bougnouan Peak and completing the ski descent depend on snow, weather, avalanche conditions and the group's ability. The final route and summit objective must be confirmed by the local mountain guide.
