4-Day Ski Touring Expedition: Tizi Mizik, Likemt & bougnouan

Discover the spectacular winter landscapes of Morocco's High Atlas on a four-day ski-touring expedition combining Tizi Mizik Pass, Likemt Peak and bougnouan. Starting in Marrakech, travel to Imlil, the gateway to the High Atlas, and enjoy a first day of ski touring around Tizi Mizik Pass. Continue towards Tachddirt village for a more demanding mountain adventure, with a planned ascent towards Likemt Peak and a ski descent if conditions permit. On the final mountain day, explore the bougnouan area before returning to Marrakech. Day 01

Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil

Depart Marrakech in the morning and travel to Imlil, a traditional mountain village at the foot of the High Atlas.

Upon arrival, settle into your guesthouse and meet your local mountain guide. Check your ski-touring equipment, review the weather forecast and discuss the planned routes and safety procedures for the expedition.

Depending on arrival time and snow conditions, enjoy a short walk around Imlil and the surrounding mountain landscape.

In the evening, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and prepare for the first ski-touring day.

Day 02

Day 2: Imlil – Tizi Mizik Pass – Ski Touring – Imlil

After breakfast, begin your ski-touring adventure towards Tizi Mizik Pass.

Climb through the mountain terrain using touring skis and climbing skins, enjoying panoramic views over Imlil and the surrounding High Atlas peaks. Once you reach suitable terrain near the pass, prepare for a ski descent selected according to snow quality, visibility and the group's ability.

Enjoy a full day outdoors, with breaks to appreciate the mountain scenery and take photographs. Return to Imlil in the afternoon.

In the evening, relax at your guesthouse, enjoy dinner and prepare for the next stage of the expedition.

Day 03

Day 3: Imlil – Tachddirt – Likemt Peak Ski Touring

From Tachddirt, begin the planned ski-touring ascent towards Likemt Peak with your local mountain guide. Climb through the snowy High Atlas terrain, enjoying wide views over the surrounding valleys and mountain ridges.

The guide will select the safest feasible route according to the snowpack, avalanche risk, weather and the group's experience. If conditions permit, continue towards the summit objective before descending on skis along a suitable route.

Return to Tachddirt for dinner and an overnight stay in a traditional mountain guesthouse.

Day 04

Day 4: Tachddirt – bougnouan Ski Touring – Marrakech

Wake up early and enjoy breakfast before setting out towards the bougnouan Peak area for the final ski-touring objective.

Ascend through the mountain terrain with your guide, taking in the spectacular winter scenery of the High Atlas. If snow, weather, avalanche conditions and the group's ability allow, continue towards the planned summit objective.

After the ascent, enjoy a ski descent on a suitable route and return to Tachddirt to collect your belongings.

Continue by road towards Marrakech, arriving in the late afternoon or evening depending on mountain conditions and travel time.

Meals: Breakfast and lunch

Important: Reaching Likemt or bougnouan Peak and completing the planned ski descents cannot be guaranteed. The guide may adapt the itinerary or choose a lower objective according to safety, weather, snow cover, daylight and the group's ability.
